On my Crystal version, I'm going to be starting a new file, and (Thanks to an idea from HB,) it will be made of Bug and Grass Pokemon. However, I'd like some suggestions on Pokemon, and their moves and such. So, suggest away! I can get just about any one of them.

Something tells me that I won't be using Butterfree or Bedrill. And I might try to get a Heracross or other Grass Pokemon. Any more suggustions on the grass type?

I tend not to use two attacking moves of the same type, just to let you know. I'm also not sure that with the low amount of good grass Pokemon that I'll be using more than two in my team. (Most of the good type mixes seem to be from Hoenn. )

Lemme give it a try.
Szicor - Agility - Baton Pass - Swords Dance - Steel Wing/Metal Claw
Baton Pass is a breeding move, but it becomes way less useful without it.
Meganium - Leech Seed - Rest - Protect - Reflect/Light Screen/Razor Leaf
Defensive, yes. But those are it's best stats. Protect + Leech Seed = owned, while you will have no problems with Rest if you use Reflect or Light Screen first. Razor Leaf if you really want to attack something. Shame it can't get Sludge Bomb, cause now you can't do nothing against other grass-types.
Heracross - Megahorn - Earthquake - Endure - Reversal
Scizor should mainly be passing to this one. No great variety in moves, so that's why Endure + Reversal Combo is there.
Shuckle - Toxic - Encore - Safeguard/Protect/Rest/Sandstorm - Curse/Double Team/Swagger/Rollout
OK, basically, Encore pwns. Encore some dumb move, give them Toxic, and let them dai. And while they're dying, you can put up a Safeguard to prevent status, Rest to heal, Sandstorm to damage them more, Curse to pump up, Double Team so they miss, Swagger so they hit themselves badly. Attack raise won't mind with Shuckle's high defense, although it's HP is bad. Protect is also nice, to see if it's a decent move to Encore, or to just let them suffer from Toxic. Heh, all your choice.
Exeggutor - Sleep Powder - Dream Eater/Psychic - Sludge Bomb - Giga Drain
Well, you do need SOMETHING to act as a sorta sweeper.
Forretress - Spikes - Earthquake - Explosion - Double-Edge
Meh, Forretress is not as good in GSC.
Final notes: Watch out for pesky fire types. And also, this team is mainly competitive. It might not be as good during the game because then you'll often have to do 5-10 battles before getting to a pokemon center, while a team like this is mainly constructed for one battle in a row.

Do you know what Pokemon it gets Baton Pass from? Oh, and I got an idea for a Baton-Passing Scizor: (To Shuckle.)
Scizor - Agility - Baton Pass - Double Team - Metal Claw (For STAB if they still have it / Offensive move / Ups Attack for Heracross.)
Shuckle - Toxic - Encore - Rest - Sandstorm / Swagger (I haven't decided.)

I think Scizor gets Baton Pass from Ledian or Ariados. Mind you, Double Team is risky.

Hmm...That is true, about Baton Pass. But I added it mainly because I thought that Shuckle would really like it.
I've just defeated the Viloet City Gym leader, Falkaner. Once I get into that park's bug contest and get headbutt, I'll have three of my permenent Pokemon: Scizor, Bayleef, (At the time.) and Heracross. However, I'm still trying to figure out the other three. Any good new ideas?
